For calibration, always remove the pH solution from the delivery container, never immerse the electrode in the delivery container. "Alkaline pH solutions change their pH value relatively quickly due to the absorption of carbon dioxide from the air and therefore increase the measurement uncertainty. The use of pH 7 and pH 4 solutions is therefore recommended for routine measurements.
