Wet cap
A pH electrode should always be kept wet to prevent solids in the liquid to be measured from drying onto the pH-sensitive glass membrane and forming a solid crust. To prevent this if the liquid level is too low, a wet holding cup or a wet holding cover are available for the immersion fitting.
